Information about centre

Citizens' association "Center for Political Studies" (CPS) is one of the oldest non-governmental non-for-profit organizations (NGO) and think-tanks in the Donetsk region, established on the base of the Donetsk National University in 1992.

The CPS was created with the support of the Open Society Institute, with which it maintained most active cooperation for a prolonged time. Later, a local representative office of the International Renaissance Foundation (part of the global network of Soros Foundations) worked on the base of CPS.

Philosophy and values of the Open Society are crucial for the activity of CPS up to the present days. The Center's policy work is aimed at implementing the values of open society in the crucial spheres of Ukrainian society through local projects, informational support, access to resources and advocacy.
